You can very well combine computer and calligraphy to create  fine calligraphy art. You can create art that is not possible to do in onother way. With the computer you can  manipulate in a way otherwise is not possible.

I use the computer for different purposes:
- I try different layouts in my textprogram
- I try different fonts, so I get an impression of the text with a different font.
- I write a text and then I manipulate the letters to change the lettershape and colours

This way I will show here. You need a drawingprogram for this kind of work. I use PaintShopPro (PSP) with different filters.

I always use my own handwriting. This is the basic. With this I will work, so I always get my own work, also it has been manipulated by the computer. It is my handwriting!

I will show you some examples and the way it works:

1. You write our own text on a white sheet of paper.
2.You scan the text with your computer and save this work in *jpg.
3. You open your drawingsoftware (PSP or others) and get the scanned letters.
4. You highlight the text and with the filters of PSP (or onother softwareprogram) you manipulate the text.

I do it this way:

	I write the text on a sheet of white paper I scan the text in my computer and save it as *.jpg format I open PSP en get the scanned letters I highligt the text to manipulate (or a part of the text)
	If highlighted, the text can be manipulated with colours. In this way you can use all kinds of colours and gradients
	by gradients you can make all kinds of combinations of colours, every thing is possible
	Also you can manipulate the angle of the colours. See the differents in green and yellow. It's very easy to do in PSP.
